We supply UFH-rated laminate boards and specify underlay with a thermal resistance of ≤0.10 m²K/W — lower than the limit for carpet or LVT, as laminate transfers heat less efficiently. Every product we install over UFH is confirmed in writing as manufacturer-approved for the application.
We test moisture first. Cranford's 1960s semis have concrete ground floors — if the slab is dry and within tolerance, floating laminate on a 3-in-1 underlay works well. If moisture is elevated, we'd recommend LVT instead.
