Whole house flooring — carpet, LVT, laminate and engineered wood fitted room by room through a home by Floors & Fix
Whole House

Every room. One team.
One fixed quote.

Mix products room by room · Sequenced fitting · Uplift included

Whole-house flooring means one home visit, one measured plan and one fixed written quote for every room — mixing carpet, LVT, laminate and engineered wood wherever each belongs. We fit across Berkshire, Surrey, Middlesex and Greater London, sequencing the rooms so your home stays liveable while the work happens.

§ How a whole house works

Planned once, fitted in sequence.

The right product in each room

The usual whole-house pattern: waterproof LVT through the hallway, kitchen and bathrooms; carpet on the stairs, landing and bedrooms; laminate or engineered wood in the living rooms. We bring samples for all of it to one visit, so the palette works together across the house.

Thresholds planned, not patched

Mixing products means floor heights meet at every doorway, and that junction is planned at the measure — underlay and ply thicknesses chosen so transitions sit flush, with matching door bars throughout and every door trimmed to clear its new floor. It's the detail that separates a planned whole house from a series of separate jobs.

Sequenced around your life

A typical three-bed house takes two to three days, worked room by room so furniture rotates rather than moving out — bedrooms one day, living rooms the next, hallway and stairs last so the finished floors aren't worked over. The sequence is agreed at the visit, with evening and weekend slots available.

One quote, everything in it

Uplift and disposal of every old floor, all subfloor preparation, underlay, fitting and door trimming across every room — one fixed written figure before anything is booked. Read how our pricing works, or see the areas we cover.

§ Whole-house questions

Common questions about whole-house flooring.

Can you floor a whole house in one job?

Yes — whole-house jobs are a core part of our work: every room measured at one free home visit, one fixed written quote, and the fitting sequenced so you are never without a usable home. Different products can be mixed room by room — LVT in the kitchen and hallway, carpet in the bedrooms and on the stairs, engineered wood in the living room — all under the same quote.

How long does it take to floor a whole house?

A typical three-bedroom house — hallway, lounge, kitchen, stairs, landing and three bedrooms — usually takes two to three days depending on the product mix and subfloor preparation needed. We agree the sequence with you at the visit, usually working room by room so furniture can rotate rather than everything moving out at once.

Is whole-house flooring cheaper than doing rooms separately?

Generally yes per room — one visit, one set of preparation, continuous fitting days and less wasted material all work in your favour compared with booking each room as a separate job over months. The whole house is priced as one fixed written quote, so you can also phase your choices knowing the total before anything starts.

Can you mix different flooring types through the house?

Yes — most whole-house jobs do. The usual pattern is waterproof LVT through the hallway, kitchen and bathrooms, carpet on stairs, landing and bedrooms, and laminate or engineered wood in living rooms. We plan thresholds so floor heights meet cleanly at every doorway, and door trimming throughout is included.

Do you handle moving furniture and removing the old floors?

Uplift and disposal of every old floor — carpet, underlay, gripper, laminate, tiles where agreed — is included in the fixed price. We sequence the work so furniture moves room to room rather than out of the house, and we discuss any large or fragile items at the home visit so fitting days run without surprises.
